(Westerose, Alta) Today, 4-H Alberta is pleased to announce that we will continue the strong partnership with Federated Co-operatives Limited (FCL) and a growing group of local Alberta Co-ops in support of our organization and the invaluable programming that we bring to young people each year.\u00a0<\/span><\/p>\n

4-H Alberta is thrilled to receive over $50,000 sponsorship investment this year.<\/span><\/p>\n

The key component of this partnership is the <\/span>CO-OP Growing Leaders Program<\/span><\/i>. The innovative and ground-breaking program is designed to remove barriers and provide easy access for youth who may have been curious about 4-H Alberta, but have never enrolled in a local club. Last year 4-H Alberta welcomed 316 new members and an additional 74 returning members through the <\/span>CO-OP Growing Leaders Program<\/span><\/i> for a total of 679 members since the program began in 2023\/ 2024.\u00a0<\/span><\/p>\n

\u201cWe\u2019re excited to build on the momentum of the CO-OP Growing Leaders Program after two successful years. This innovative partnership has opened the door for over 679 new youth to engage with 4-H Alberta\u2014an experience that builds leadership, life skills, and lasting friendships in a fun and supportive environment,\u201d said Tracy Gardner, CEO of 4-H Alberta. \u201cWe\u2019re grateful for the continued support of Federated Co\u2011operatives Ltd. and the many Co-ops joining this effort.\u201d<\/span><\/p>\n

About 4-H Alberta\u00a0<\/b><\/p>\n

4-H Alberta is the new streamlined youth development body that combines the former three-party organizations that operated 4-H in Alberta; the 4-H Council of Alberta, the 4-H Foundation of Alberta, and the 4-H Section of Alberta Agriculture and Forestry.<\/span><\/p>\n

4-H Alberta was developed after extensive consultation with Alberta’s 4-H community. It involves a new governance, structure and operating model that is efficient and effective, and supported by a modernized constitution\/by-law alignment to coordinate 4-H staff and volunteer roles, and build operational harmony for the growth of the 4-H youth leadership program in Alberta.<\/span><\/p>\n
