The Kurt Kinnear Beard Fundraiser<\/strong><\/p>\n

It was a little over a year ago that three organizations became one 4-H Alberta, continuing\u00a0an over 100-year legacy and simultaneously reinventing itself. With the ‘new’ 4-H Alberta also came a new\u00a0CEO: Kurt Kinnear.<\/p>\n

When we first met Kurt, he was clean-shaven and fresh-faced (see Exhibit A, picture of Kurt – June 2020). Fast forward one year and we realized, we want the old Kurt back (see Exhibit B, picture of Kurt – June 2021).<\/p>\n

During the May 2021 AGM, a passionate and well-respected longtime supporter and former board member of 4-H Alberta, Keith Luft, had an amazing idea: “We put a whole new face on 4-H Alberta – let’s put a new face on Kurt”. And just like that, the\u00a0Kurt Kinnear Beard Fundraiser was born.<\/p>\n

Let’s raise some funds for 4-H Alberta’s youth and youth programs! Our fundraising goal is $5,000 and we are hoping you, our 4-H Alberta community, will join in on the fun.<\/p>\n

Here is how it works:<\/u><\/p>\n

The fundraiser will run from July 1 – July 25, 2021<\/strong><\/p>\n

Donations can be made through the following online giving portal: https:\/\/donate-can.keela.co\/kurts-beard-fundraiser<\/a> or by sending a cheque to the Alberta 4-H Centre (please note the Kurt Kinnear Beard Fundraiser in the memo field).<\/p>\n

Every donation counts but the donor of the largest donation will determine the beard style Kurt will wear for five days. Donations made by individuals will receive a charitable tax receipt but we also welcome group fundraisers, i.e. through a district or club.<\/p>\n
