Dear 4-H Community,
\nThe 4-H Alberta Board of Directors would like to thank each and every community member who took the time to call or email our Governance Committee. You provided constructive feedback regarding the bylaw presentations made to Regional representatives. Your feedback was essential before proceeding any further with recommendations from the 2019 Engagement Sessions.<\/p>\n
The presentations were intended to streamline the bylaws, simplify governance and create consistency across the province. Our intention was to provide full transparency. The concept of the 2019 recommendation of Regional mergers was included for discussion. The feedback gained from this process makes it evident that this merger recommendation should not proceed.<\/p>\n
We would like to thank the community for responding to our request for feedback. As a result of your valuable input, the 4-H Alberta Board will not be proceeding with any Regional mergers.<\/p>\n
We look forward to working together with the Regions in the coming year to develop consistent bylaws that better support the 4-H program and meet the expectations of our members.<\/p>\n
