Premier’s Award
The Premier’s Award has been presented to outstanding 4-H members since 1964. Each year, one outstanding 4-H member is chosen from an application and interview process. The Premier’s Award Recipient is announced at the 4-H Alberta Fall Senior Symposium. The winner will be invited to meet the Premier of Alberta, be asked to speak at events by Regions and Districts and attend the Hall of Fame and other programs.

Ambassadors
4-H Alberta Ambassadors are dedicated, passionate Senior Members who serve as mentors and role models within the 4-H community, supporting clubs, districts, and regions through programming, workshops, and events. They engage with members at various levels, offering guidance and promoting the core values of 4-H, such as Positive Youth Development and “Learn To Do By Doing.” Ambassadors actively participate in regional meetings and communicate and collaborate with 4-H Alberta staff and regional leaders to ensure they fulfill their duties. Ambassadors must maintain communication standards, complete required training, and fulfil responsibilities at both regional and provincial levels, all while upholding the integrity and safety standards of 4-H Alberta.
Ambassadors are selected each fall based on an application and interview process. They serve a two-year term. A maximum of twenty-eight Ambassadors (fourteen returning and fourteen new) will serve each year.

Youth Leaders
Youth Leaders are current or previous 4-H Alberta Senior Members aged 15-25 who have successfully completed 4-H Alberta’s Youth Leadership Experience And Development Training (YLEAD). In this role, Youth Leaders will assist with planning and implementing programs and activities at the club, district, and regional levels.

Youth Advisory Committee
This unique role offers a chance to serve as the national youth voice for 4-H Canada, developing your leadership and contributing to the 4-H movement across the country. The YAC Representative is selected every second fall based on an application and interview process. They serve a two-year term.
- Be a positive role model for Alberta youth within 4-H.
- Participate in national meetings and events, including working groups and advisory discussions.
- Assist in planning national conferences and promote 4-H initiatives.
Selection Criteria:
- Be between 18 and 25 years old.
- Be a current 4-H Alberta member or a recent alumni (within five years).
- Commit to volunteering at least two hours per month and attend scheduled virtual meetings.
- Have experience in leadership, public speaking, and teamwork, with knowledge of 4-H at all levels.
